There are certain guidelines issued by IRS from time to time regarding the specific limits on the amount that is to be saved and contributed to one’s 401K plan every year. In addition the IRS fixes on the highest range of pre-tax amount that is required to be contributed in 401K plan. It was in 2005, that the range of $14,000 (extreme limit) by way of pre-tax contributions was made to plans sponsored by employers. As against this, in the year 2006 the largest pre-tax contribution limit of $15,000 was set. All above contributions were the result of decisions passed under the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001. There are several other provisions as well like if one is working two employers simultaneously there is other IRS pre-tax limit for that particular year as well. For the 401K account contribution, the IRS has set up the maximum range for the aggregated sum from all the various sources. Thus under this, both the employer matching contributions and employee after-tax contributions are included. There are special provisions for catch-up contributions as well, like in case one is 50years older or more, the catch-up contributions for him are different like in the year 2005, the additional excess catch-up contribution was $4000 and in the next year it was 1000 dollars extra means $5000. However after 2006 on these contributions were changed, now from 2006 on the limits to these contributions are subjected to the cost of living adjustments which is also called “COLA.” It is worth to note that in the scenario where if the employees pre-tax contribution is not more than the contribution limit as per the plan or even dollar limit calculated annually of IRS in a particular calendar year , then total or part of all the employee’s catch-up contribution would be taken as the regular and normal pre-tax contribution. All these contribution limits are set up keeping in mind that no discrimination can be made by the employers for their employees who are earning much. So are you upset because of your fat belly? Are you going crazy because your waistline seems to be on the increase every month and most of the trousers that you bought last season no longer fit you. Fitting you is a far away though, in fact they don’t even manage to climb up to your tummy. So what is that you should do? Well, the first thing that would come to your mind is a belly fat diet. But is it really that easy to go on a diet? Huh? Well, a diet should not start abruptly but in a very systematic manner. Your body needs time to adjust to your belly fat diet and therefore begin with small modifications and move on to a completely healthy diet. First of all you have to replace all the fries with boiled potatoes. They are far healthier than your fries because they don’t contain unhealthy fatty acids but good amount of carbohydrates to keep you energetic all day long. And all your belly fat diet will be nothing but a waste of your time and effort if you do not supplement it with proper exercise. Start it with ten to fifteen minutes of brisk walking. The next step is to completely avoid all kinds of fried and fatty foods. You have to totally avoid all the fatty foods like burgers, pizzas, tacos, fries etc. No more wafers too and no more fried chicken for you. All these foods items get replaced by vegetables. Instead of all these you have to concentrate more on boiled and baked food. Also your exercise regime needs to be ramped up from brisk walking to jogging, running, cycling and swimming. All these exercises bring your body into motion and help to burn more calories faster than ever before. And finally you have to understand that you have to change your lifestyle along with a fat belly diet. You need to eat more fruits and less of fries. You need to eat more of vegetables and less of junk food. Make exercise a part of your life if you want your fat belly diet to really work for you. Make it a routine to do medium to heavy exercises for at least 1 hour a day. These could include cardio based exercises like jogging, cycling swimming or weight training exercises like weightlifting, crunches etc. Try your hands at yoga, it’ll help to calm you down and also control the urge to eat fast food items like burgers, fries etc.

Getting a fat belly is no big deal. All that you have to do is just laze around all day long sipping glassfuls of cola and eating all the junk food that the world wants to sell to you. But have you ever realized that losing this belly is as difficult as easy is getting a fat belly? Our lifestyles make us eat far more than we ideally should and this in turn starts showing up on our body sooner or later. The very first signs are visible on the tummy and this is what we call belly fat. There are many other reasons for why you are getting a fat belly. If you don’t take proper rest, your body’s internal functions go out of sync. The speed at which they are going on also takes a hit when your body does not get proper rest. When your body’s processes go out of sync, your body becomes unstable and the metabolic rate also gets reduced. A slower rate of metabolism means that you don’t burn all the fat that you consume and therefore you start storing them and in turn growing fatter. Another common reason why people are getting a fat belly is because of over consumption of alcohol, tobacco and caffeine. In order to keep them alert at work, people drink as many cups of coffee as they can. This in turn reduces the metabolic rate and fills the body with harmful caffeine. Alcohol also retards the rate of metabolism and makes you pick up weight faster than ever before. And tobacco reduces the amount of oxygen inside the body which is required for burning the fats and carbohydrates to release energy inside the body. This in turn reduces not only your stamina but also means that you are storing more calories and fats inside your body. So what should you do? To avoid getting a fat belly you must take action today and now. Cut your habits into shape. Stop eating all that junk food all day long. It is okay to eat all those burgers, fries, pizzas and colas once in a while but not every day. Also it is important to reduce your alcohol and caffeine intake so that your body’s internal processes are not hindered unnecessarily. And finally make exercise a part of your daily schedule so that you burn all the extra calories that you eat every day.
